Woodsong Reading

Hi there!
Hope your week's been going well and I'm sorry for the delay -- it hasn't been a good month over here.
My dad passed away suddenly on Tuesday, so things have been a little crazy. He came down with something called Guillian-Barre disease last Thursday (my birthday); it's kind of like a Bell's Palsy ... some paralysis of the extremities caused by a nerve inflammation. People used to die from it -- it would paralyze your breathing muscles, but isn't considered a fatal illness anymore because you can just use respirators. There are some treatments, but basically you just have to wait several months until you get over it.
Anyway, Dad was doing fine; they decided to put him on the respirator "just in case" and sedated him because he didn't like the breathing tube. His blood pressure went down after the sedation -- and then just kept on going down until his heart stopped. No one expected it.
The "bad month" part is because my brother-in-law passed away mid-May (cancer -- it was expected). Plus, my next-door neighbor's 19 year old son was shot and killed the next week in a totally random robbery. It's been pretty tough.
Anyway, it's time to jump back in the saddle again -- so how about a quick word from our sponsor, then on to the reading.
------------------------
(I found these guys the other day -- looked really interesting, plus I love to shop)
Do You Love Shopping?
Do You Love To Eat Out?
Want To Make Your Own Hours?
What if I told you it was possible to get paid $10 to $40 an HOUR just to go to your favorite mall to shop, eat at your favorite restaurant, golf at your favorite course, or enjoy a movie at your local theater … AND get it all for FREE!!!!!! And, not only get everything for FREE and get a paycheck for it, but someone pays for the gas in your car!!!

We'll again pull two cards -- the first suggests something we should focus on for the week. The second suggests things we might consider in order to fully benefit from the attributes of the first card.
The cards are:
Ace of Wands (Reversed)
Knight of Cups (Reversed)
Note the two reversals -- I'm going to come back to that in a moment.
Like all Aces, the Ace of Wands suggests something new ... maybe even something exciting or at least very interesting. This might be an opportunity ... perhaps a chance to express yourself creatively. While this Ace suggests you consider areas where you might excel, realize that you also need confidence and courage to do so. This Ace suggests you may expect to be successful -- so it may provide strength if you're feeling tentative.
Let's try to further filter the message of this Ace with the Knight of Cups. I always am a little uncertain with face cards -- are they referring to people, or are they referring to a set of attributes. Different readers feel different ways. I'm somewhere in the middle -- I think sometimes they do refer to people; othertimes, they do suggest attributes to consider.
In any case, the Knight of Cups is strongly affected by emotions ... perhaps to the point of being overly romantic or dreamy. This is a very sensitive card. While these are admirable attributes, you should resist the temptation to look inwards too much. You should be aware of overall balance when considering this Knight (and all Knights tend to go to extremes in one way or the other)
What I'm thinking is what happens when you get really involved in a project -- one that really enthralls you. You may become absorbed in the project to the exclusion of all else. Our first card suggests a new and exciting endeavor; our second card warns about retaining balance in your life. Lets consider our reversals -- I think we're getting a warning here to be wary of short-changing other facets of our life should we become too interested in one single project. While it's great to become involved in new things, we shouldn't let the rest of our life -- or those involved in our life -- suffer from it. Sometimes we have to emphasize one facet of our life over the others ... but be careful not to let it get out of hand!
And that's about it this time! I hope things go well for you this week and look forward to talking to you again next week. Sweetheart,
I am so sorry about your father's sudden passing. Never fun to associate a death or illness with your Birthday either. Whether expected or not, death is upsetting because that person is not physically with us, but I like to think that you have another angel watching closely over you, wishing you every happiness in the world.

I would like to take this oppourtunity to thank you for your readings, which I have been receiving for the past 3 years or so. More often than not, they are quite relevant for me and my life's journey. I would also like to send my condolences for the three losses that you have experienced in the past few weeks. My thoughts are with you, from all the way down under in Australia.

i was very saddened by the loss of your father. also your brother-in-law, and your neighbors son. my parents are both gone, and it does leave quite an emptiness. however, they are always with you, in your heart and spirit. nothing anyone can say can make it feel better. but hopefully knowing that all the people who enjoy your stories about everyday life, and your readings, are sending you their prayers, offers you a small amount of comfort. take care and God bless....
